according to many indexes as steven pinker notes-the bert angels of our nature, the world is actually becoming a safer placements more and more nations and governments reject the appropriateness of waging war. but still conflict is not completely disappeared and in fact some friends in global politics could actually reverse the trend. as the human population continues to rise, the world is becoming a more crowded place and in 2015, the world's population was estimated to be 7.3 billion, but that figure is projected to reach close to 10 billion by mid-century. rapidly growing countries with hey proportion of young people are especially prone to civil unrest are and less able to create and maintain democratic institutions. as michael claire noted a number of factors that raise the specter of resource competition on a global scale. faced with increasing population governments will be strapped with huge birds to meet the day-to-day necessities of con city tunes. so as a -- constituents so there will be fewer resources for grand projects such as planning for interstellar travel so other vo
