. >>> steven riley teaches about infectious diseases at imperial college in london. thanks for coming on. >> thanks for having me. >> that was a sobering report about the camp here in georgia. what might have indicate for what schools can face when they reopen in a few weeks? >> yes. the question about when and how to reopen schools is very difficult. this report from the summer camp shows you, when you get large groups of people together, whatever age, indoors, there's a risk of large amounts of transmission. the frequency with which this happens is difficult to figure out. but this is a great report that gives us detailed information. we have to remember that schools provide an awful lot of benefits over and above education. they provide physical safety and improve the well-being of the students. so, it's not as simple as just being able to choose to close schools because they're a transmission risk. it is a difficult question. >> it is a challenge for all of the school districts, all over this country. were you surprised, professor, at the percentage of the camp,

professor steven riley, thank you for joining us.k about london, is this a full lockdown, or is it what we have seen in the north of the u.k., forcing households to limit the numbers of contacts with others? stephen: i don't think there are any details proposed for this yet, and i think that we kind of reflected a little bit on some of the recent local assets. for example, there have been lester -- ands in leister. they have been successful in terms of cases have fallen over a period of time when those interventions have been in place. i don't think it is clear in any sense on what a plan might be for london. are we testing enough in the u.k.? how is the u.k. doing after what many say was a pretty difficult start dealing with the pandemic echo steven: the testing capacity certainly seems to be very high in the u.k., and it was announced this morning that they are bringing in new technology, at point-of-care or close to point-of-care technology that should be able to return individual tests even faster. i think there are two dimension
