a great white shark has been spotted off stinson beach in marin county over the weekend.each will be closed to swimming. and surfing. until friday. a coast guard helicopter noticed the shark 200 to 300 yards from shore yesterday afternoon. a lifeguard says the shark appeared to be about 8 to 10 feet long. so you can wait but you can't go in. >>> -- you can wade but you can't go in. >>> another concern in the waters in the san francisco bay. in a first of its kind survey, the group clean water action found fast food restaurants and convenience stores are to blame for a lot of the trash that winds up in our waters. those retailers include mcdonald's, 711, and starbucks, most of the trash coming -- going into the bay after being blown out of urban creeks or storm drains. >>> we got sharks. we got a little bit of garbage. kind of hot. the trash doesn't scare me. the shark does get me out of the watter. >> i guess the beach is closed. they don't even want to you wade in there. >> the beach is closed. serious heat. >> and we will be right up there. we will get close in some spo

half moon bay, stinson beach stuck in the 50s. strong on-shore flow. and the wind was really blowing especially through the gate. gusting to 15, 18, 25 miles per hour. 30-mile-per-hour gusts at santa rosa. strong on-shore flow right now because we have a weak disturbance passing through extreme northern california. that's it. after this i think we're in for a stretch where high pressure dominates. high pressure's our friend. we're looking for warming temperatures. really after tomorrow, tomorrow really is looking a lot like today. a lot of clouds in the morning, breezy through the afternoon and coastal temperatures really don't warm that much. ahead, though, we're talking 80s and 90s. here's the setup for us. big high-pressure ridge offshore. this should have moved in about three weeks ago. we'll take its late arrival. that's just fine. low pressure moving out to the east. tomorrow we wake up to clouds. probably pretty thick. and it's going to be tough to burn off right along the coastline. but inland, temperatures will warm a few degrees. after tomorr
