the fall happened about a mile south of stinson beach. a group of people stopped on a scenic outlook this evening. this was about 7:00, a man and woman were out posing for a picture on the rock when the two fell over the edge. the fall was about 150 to 200 feet down. witnesses immediately sprung into action calling to see if they could help those victims, asking people to move their cars out of the way to make room for medical personnel. >> the lady was reresponsiblive the entire time, trying to stand up. the guy was down and just moaning when i got down there. he wasn't responding to any of my questions, and there was also a language barrier. >> reporter: multiple agencies responded and they did a long line rescue. when rescue dangles on rope and helps a man to safety. a man was transported to the medical center. the woman was taken by ambulanc: marin general with nonlife threatening injuries. the stinson beach fire chief says while the views are beautiful and picturesque, people need to use extreme caution when getting close to the edge

right around stinson beech. you can see the fog heading to the south closer to monterey break. a little bit of a break in the overcast. the low clouds will increase in coverage overnight. here we go, the highest for today as we compile the numbers. low 60s for the beaches. warmest location once again on the hot side in the low to mid- 90s out toward antioch and livermore topped out right around 95 degrees. forecast headlines for tonight, we do have this areas of fog but still clear skies inland. more fog this weekend and into the extended forecast. partly cloudy skies and the cooling trend will continue. first thing tomorrow morning, the fog concentrating coast side. right around the bay and most of the bay area starting today, at least saturday morning, early tomorrow morning in the 50s. so the fog we've been talking a lot about this over the last few days. this system moves in from the north and that will reinforce the cooling trend. all weekend long right around the bay. we're not talking about that extreme heat anymore. inland spots approaching the low to mid-eight mid-80s.

more fog is well, very little clearing if any out toward molina and stinson beach.so just basically a foggy day. same deal tomorrow. these are the highs based on the cool sea breezes we had today. last night, we had a little brush fire yesterday in morgan hill. they got it down quick. these cooler daytime highs and that fog footprint, the bigger fog footprint, the cooler air has made it a more quiet fire season. we're not going to see much of a warm up as we head toward the weekend. these are your forecast highs for saturday morning. there's not going to be that big of a difference. there'll be fog in the coast. you're going to need your hoodies or jackets when you head out. a little bit breezy in the afternoon and temperatures in the warmer spots upper 80s. not so bad. the fog footprint in the morning you see it, north bay you're getting more fog than you're seeing. napa, so if you're heading out in the morning, you're going to want jackets in this area because it's going to be chilly. you're going to have more sunshine. you see the temperatures depict that too whe

this is off the southbound lanes of highway one near stinson beach at around 7:00 last night. a couple sitting on a rock posing for photos slipped and tumbled down the cliff. they ended up 150 to 200 feet down next transported them into the hospital. he had critical injuries. the woman is in stable condition and witnesses helped direct traffic away from the scene and helped medical responders treat the tourists. >> now for a little local news with an international twist. the weather for two grads say they may be released within a week. >> the hearing was held this morning on the second anniversary of the day that shane bauer and josh for tall were caught. they were a rest along with a c on say while hiking along the border. one was released last september. now, there were hopes that the two men would be set free today, but their lawyer says that today's final hearing the judge said the court will announce its verdict within a week. in the meantime, he continues to advocate for their freedom. >> this has been a very long time in coming. the first time that we heard from our inv

north bay high of 64 stinson beach, 71 san rafael, 74 in sonoma and 80 today as a high in fairfield. more 80s the next couple of days as we gradually warm up by wednesday breaking into the 90s. so plenty of sunshine in store for the rest of the week and we'll go over to gianna with traffic. >> not too bad. some better news. that accident we have been following southbound 880 at dixon landing has been cleared off the freeway. chp just left the scene. you can see on our sensors here lots of green, sluggish on the northbound side and everything pushessive pushed out of the roads. no troubles there. 880/237 clear here, as well. all of the south bay is accident-free. we have roadwork northbound 85 between 101 and almaden expressway. this roadwork is in effect until 6:00 this morning. there are various lanes blocked through that area so might see slight delays out the door through there. bay area bridges problem-free. live look at the san mateo bridge, so far, so good 13 to 14 minutes between 880 and 101. 880 good in both directions. northbound towards the bay bridge, problem-free no delay

but for some areas like stinson beach and down to santa cruz that's offshore. you're starting to see rapid clearing. the fog doesn't like the wind. it tends to peel back. that's the reason we'll see temperatures beginning to warm. warmer or less fog along the coast in warmer daytime highs, let's go back and show you the satellite loop and we'll see. a good area of rain in the pacific northwest. this is the area here, this is the low. it's represented in rain in the pacific northwest. it's just really been keeping us really cool. that low pressure center all winter, all spring. it is still here and that means not rain but cooler highs. that's where we've been. that low is going to break off a little bit. not quite as prevalent until the next couple of days. fog will be there but it just won't be as thick as it has been. your overnight lows you can forget the drizzle and temperatures in the mid-50s, low 60s. little bit warmer out toward morgan hill and san jose with low 60s. the computer model bears these wind. that's the fog forecast. that's nothing compared to
