kron 4 sarah stinson standing by live in the newsroom with the latest on what we know so far morning, sir. >> that's right. this morning, oakland police still looking for at least one shooter responsible for the mass shooting at the king estate school in oakland, injuring 6 adults. oakland police say it was just after 12. 45 in the afternoon yesterday when the department received reports of a shooting on fontaine street in east oakland, the king estate school houses 4 different schools on campus ranging from middle school to high school. so all of them went on lockdown. the 6 people shot were taken to the hospital. 2 of them with life-threatening injuries. police say the victims of the shooting were affiliated with the school and that students, of course, have been reunited with the parents, but took some time. of course, investigators spent much of the day canvassing the area, but they found no shooters and no arrests have been made. this was an extremely scary situation for everyone on the campus is especially for those children on lockdown. we talked with a 10 year-old who describe

the potential of 100 degree afternoon kron 4 sarah stinson following that story for she's actually up in novato where they're dealing with the heat just as well. good morning, sara. >> that good morning. it's already getting warm out here. no jacket needed due to the excessive heat expected today, nevada unified school district. they are doing a half day at 3 separate campuses including here at lucette melhem entry. they are going to have the kids learn in the morning when it's still cool enough like it is right now. and then when it gets a triple digit temps, that's when the kids can go home. so half days at 3 separate campuses. again, lucid school novato high school and he'll education center about a unified is only closing schools with specific circumstances like not enough access to air conditioning that we the students can get some schooling in and then get home before it gets too hot. other than that, the school district believes schools are the best place for students. even in extreme weather conditions. novato unified plans to have water available at all. schools bring refilla

on for the gunman who opened fire a school campus in east oakland. 6 people we've got kron 4 sarah stinson in the newsroom. and sarah has been following the story for us. >> all morning. what's the latest? sara? >> oakland police just got back to me. but unfortunately, with no update in that means that there's still no arrests have been made. and police continue to look for the shooter or shooters who injured 6 adults at the king estate school. oakland police say it was just after 12. 45 yesterday afternoon when the department received reports of a shooting on fontaine street in east oakland. the king estate school houses 4 different schools on campus ranging from middle school to high school. so all of them went under lockdown. the 6 people shot were taken to the hospital. 2 of them with life-threatening injuries. police say the victims of the shooting were affiliated with the school in some way. investigators spent much of the day yesterday canvassing the area processing the crime scene. but they found no shooters. and again, no arrests made yesterday. no arrests made so far this morning
