but we also have a very strong southwesterly swell from stinson beach, all the way down to santa cruzy, what a day for the beach with the temperatures in the 60s. the ocean temperatures. but pretty dangerous out there. so do be careful. we are looking at numbers today once again in the lower 90s for san jose and santa clara. but you head down toward morgan hill, how about 97? 86 in santa cruz. san mateo, 89. 92 los altos with the city coming in in the low 80s. 79 daly city. 80 stinson beach. 91 in petaluma. going from the 48 this morning to the low 90s throughout the afternoon. 92 in union city, and the inland valleys not hot one for you, 95 san ramon valley with antioch at 95. the accuweather seven-day forecast. so today even though we are going to get the cooling, it's coming late still in the 60s for our beaches early on. and by tomorrow we will see 70s at the coast, mid-80s around the bay. still some 90s inland and perhaps maybe a 930-degree temperature on monday inland. otherwise we will cool with seasonable temperatures from the 60s to the low 80s throughout the rest of the work

i was up at stinson beach and it was wild. >> in fact, even in santa cruz we saw waves that got up to2 to 13 feet. usually you get 8 to 10 feet in this area. videos from santa clara. the waves were kicking up because of the strong offshore winds we saw today and they're going to be with us for the next 12 hours. we still have a beach hazardous statement in effect right now, but tomorrow waves are expected to diminish quite a bit. even still now we have winds up to 20 miles per hour and wave heights that are still up to 12 feet. so, if you're one of those relics that likes to get out there at night and maybe test the water, this is not the night to do that. but if you do have the day off tomorrow and you want to get out to the beach, perhaps towards santa cruz, well, your beach forecast looks much more calm. in fact, those waves coming down from about 10 to 15 feet down to 4 to 8 dpeet. even the water temperature very comfortable. 62 degrees. we'll talk about major changes headed our way. one more hot day. then, yes, we're talking about moisture headed into the bay area in the form of

we are looking at a beach hazard statement, as well with large northwesterly swells, 11 to 13 feet throughout the day today into late tomorrow. so all the way from stinson, point reyes, into monterey bay and perhaps at far south as santa cruz for the sneaker waves. here's the specific satellite picture. high pressure is all about this building about in to the north of us. as it does it provides the wind shift and the tight pressure gradient setting up for the offshore flow tonight. but it doesn't last long. we are looking for this area of low pressure to drop to the south and it will bring increasing clouds, cooler temperatures and perhaps the arriving of rain by late tuesday into wednesday. highs in the 60s and 70s. with the rain arriving, we are looking at perhaps a quarter inch bay area wide, and that could mean some upper elevation snow above 7,000 feet in the sierra nevada by wednesday. but it is all about the blue angels this weekend. or the sunny and mild conditions, whichever you like. upper 60s 1:00. breezy winds 5:00 and we will look at 67 degrees. a beautiful afternoon today, but, of course, exceptionally dry. 85 concord. 75 fremont. upper 80
