three years that i've been, interacting with them, last year, we had a whole rash of, violence at stonestown among youth, in the person who had this position was instrumental in bringing everything together, the same thing with the rash of violence that happened at, twin peaks. so it wasn't like a victim services thing at all. it was a coordinating role, you know, some other supervisors have liaisons to police. you know, i'm not i haven't done that with the funds that we have, and i'm grateful that the mayor's office does that and that they're accessible when we need them. so, i i've appreciated that. and would. and i think that we still need it. we still need that coordination. somebody who has the sort of standing in the city's director to bring people together, which is often what doesn't happen. thank you. well, my, my, i see where my colleagues are going, but let me also just put it on the record. there are a lot of coordinations, very little direct services. even if you as you create this office of victim services, frankly, as we have the district attorney actually came before us last

you know, last summer when we had a rash of violence at stonestown mall, and i, i worry that regardless of the funding source, whether it was philanthropic money or state and federal money or our own money, the kids still feel it, you know, when there's no youth employment, when there's no after school programs, when there's none of those things. right? and then we pay for it as society in other ways as well. because if you have a bunch of teenagers who are not employed and they need, you know, income and they have all this free time on their hands, you know, kids will be kids. and so i, i do worry about that, and particularly on the west side, which i represent, because we don't have a whole bunch of, you know, services and service providers, and, you know, the our, our, schools, our public schools, we do have, you know, overrepresentation of asian kids, latino kids, black kids. and so i want to make sure that we preserve that. so that being said, can you tell us a little bit about the state and, federal funding sources that have decreased in what they are for? yes. so it's a combinati
