amelia siegel is out in the storm team 4 x 4. where are you now, amelia? >> reporter: we're traveling northbound on route 1. definitely noticing the volume picking up not just route 1 but the beltway as well. still tracking normal speeds around the area. you can tell the as volume increases with the rain, add a little extra time with that commute. we're tracking a steady rain. wet roads, like you said, everywhere. you can see it on the radar. you can see outside with our cam looking at the wet roads and soggy conditions across the area. as the sun comes up and it continues to rain, you still need to leave the headlights on. if your windshield wipers are on, your lights need to be on. how are other roadways doing this morning? >> not so hot. three new crashes to tell you about. braddock road at fairfax county parkway. one eastbound lane geing by. your alternate is lee highway. this because of standing water. somebody flipped their car in standing water. taking a look at prince george's county, indian head highway at palmer road. a new crash. outer loop at g
