as far as what we are tracking here stormtracker 6 live double scan radar showing you the area of low pressure out of the northern plains where folks were dealing with blizzard warnings and storm warnings. and this area in the southeast. that area of low pressure across the northern plains will transfer the energy to an area of low pressure off the coast and then our nor'easter blossoms. later on tonight we have the snow in philadelphia. and we track all the moisture and transfer its energy to a coastal storm. so 1:00 p.m. on wednesday. and heavy wet snow across portions of the delaware and lehigh valleys. and if you drive home you will be in the thick of the storm. we'll talk about the headlines and the timeline with the next nor'easter, 7:00 this evening through 10:00 tonight light rain and wet snow will be arriving and wednesday morning for the commute. allow extra time. yes light snow and some spotty accumulation overhead and light rain to the south and east. but the heaviest time period looks to be wednesday through the late morning hours and evening hours with windy conditions a

lets look at stormtracker 6 live double scan through the region.nd we see yes we have the heavy rain along the coast. and the blinking near cape may, those are live lightning strikes. but what about this area of purple? that is the area we see heavy snowfall coming down at a significant rate and we have watchd this band continue to lift to the north. this was not south jersey and now in the city. and we can put the snowfall rate on there. and significant snowfall rates and that will impact the totals. it took a while for this to intensify. this says 3 inches now and for the most part 1 to 2 inches and now radar estimates it could be 3 inches an hour. and this pulls up to the north near doylestown and landsdowne and malvern. and lets look elsewhere. the visibility is an issue as the snow is coming down along the i-95 corridor. visibility less than a half mile in spots. that is because of the snow coming down because of the significant rates. we see the storm intensify. and lightning strike as long the coastline and area of low pressure is ramping up

this is a look at stormtracker 4 radar.ere in the weather center with chief meteorologist lawrence karnow... lawrence what can we expect for the morning commute. lawrence karnow: it was a very stormy start to the day with heavy rain and gusty winds. some of the heaviest rainfall totals were nearly 4 inches. the rain has turned to showers. doppler radar is showing more rain and some heavier pockets of downpours. more heavy rain is expected tonight with the possibility of isolated thunderstorms. heavy snow continues in the sierra where a blizzard warning is in place in the greater lake tahoe area. extremely dangerous whiteout conditions are expected tonight into early friday morning. on the satellite you can see the low still spinning off the coast. it's to move so it will continue to spin more showers our way through saturday. more snow is likely over our local mountains and snow levels could drop as low as 1,500 feet. it will be a mix of sunshine and showers tomorrow with cool highs only in the upper 40s and 50s. showers an
