onshore breeze keeps the coastal stratus going. out in the valley, we've got the dense fog prevailing out there, causing visibility problems on the i-5, as you would expect, and freezing fog conditions up over i-80. so fog is the story today. cool and dry through the weekend. we'll look for the summer fog pattern to begin to mix out late this afternoon, into tomorrow, as this little disturbance clears the area. doesn't have any rain for us to speak of, but we will see that mixing take place here by this afternoon, into tomorrow, resulting in a little more sunshine across the bay area and a gradual warmup. so let's get rid of this fog and dry it out here into the beginning of the week. doesn't look like any rain headed our way, until probably midweek of next week, into next weekend. so we've got a nice little break in the rain. the gray matter is prevalent today, and it's a summer fog pattern. but as i mentioned, the end result is the game. gray and cool through the morning hours. remaining a little drizzle. that would be it as far

we see a significant amount of stratus clouds and fog pushing in from the coastline. this is just the beginning of the changes in our weather. we expect to see temperatures anywhere from 3 to 8 degrees cooler than we saw just yesterday. only 66 in our inland areas, 26 inside the bay, 69 yesterday and 60 at the coast. the coast will be lucky if they see any sunshine today. most likely it's going to be banked in, in fog and then overnight we'll see fog from the coast into our inland areas. and that sets the stage for tomorrow. that is because we see all the fog being pushed in by the sea breeze and ultimately we see all this fog pushing in from the valleys. the combination of those two book ends us and sets us up for chilly temperatures falling back to seasonal averages. then high pressure continues to break down and then allows this low pressure system to start rushing into our area. it's going to fill our skies with clouds tonight. and then bring about a 50% chance of showers for tomorrow. and then sun throughout the -- pardon me, rain throughout the day on sunday. th
