key grip stu brumbaugh previously worked with her on the set of the nicolas cage film with the the olde says he had some concerns about gutierrez-reed. >> hannah was having a conversation with an actor at the time. they had some reservations about the sound, the report of the gun. so she was going to test that near the actor to let them know -- understand how loud it was. and again, it went -- another gun went off. but fortunately our star, nic cage, walked by and it went off without any of the crew really wearing any hearing protection, and it pissed him off. at that point i had made the comment to the assistant director that she probably needed to be let go. >> reporter: according to that search warrant for the prop truck released today, investigators conducted an interview with gutierrez-reed, who said that on the day of the incident she checked the dummies and ensured they were not hot rounds. and when the crew broke for lunch she says the firearms were secured inside the prop truck but that ammo was left on a cart on the set, not secured. when asked if live ammo was kept on set, s

one of them is stu brumbaugh, thank you for joining us, i rees appreciate it. >> thank you very much.xperience working with hannah gutierrez-reed, what happened that made you so concerned. >> i have been around firearms my whole life, and when you see an armorer walk on the sets with gun belts in armpits and carrying two rifles, and guns pointed back at the crew, and at us, you know, it just kind of raised some red flags right away with me. >> so are you there, can you hear me? >> yeah, i'm here. >> okay. good, so at one point, nicolas cage stormed off the set because of her actions. is that right? is that what you said? >> that's correct. we had a couple of unannounced fires on set, you know, a couple of gunshots on set that weren't announced. there's a protocol on a movie set that people kind of know that takes place, you know, when a gun comes out, there's always an announcement about hot guns being on set, you know, no work happens during that time period, and then when the scene happens, the armorer or the prop master com comes, clear the guns and we continue to work. when a gun

let's talk about it with stu brumbaugh, serving as a key grip on a number of films. ch for being with us. first, you worked with both of these people. tell us what you can about them, their experience, and their work ethic, the positives and the negatives, in your experience. >> you know, first i'll start with, you know, dave. i worked with him on two seasons on a tv show. he seemed like a consummate professional. i didn't have -- see anything i thought was, you know, where he was doing his job incorrectly. was he pushing schedules? yeah, but all ads do. i don't think he did anything that was unsafe or requested anything to be done unsafe. so i really don't have a whole lot to say about dave. you know, i also worked with hannah. i found her to be a great individual. she was very warm. you know, i witnessed some things on set that i thought were unsafe in my personal opinion, you know. the way she was handling firearms, we had a couple of firearm discharges that were unannounced on set, you know, there are protocols on set that need to happen for everybody's safety. wh
