america's cup, and then there is this nba franchise that wants to be part of the success of this city. they see themselves being capable of being even more successful than a basketball franchise. i want to welcome them into the city and proceed accordingly, with hopefully a plan that would welcome them in with, hopefully, a waterfront-type of a rematch. while we lose some, we make up for it. -- arena. there are some things that will be challenging, more things that we can work on that will keep the spirit of the city. i am never going to apologize for grabbing someone else's team. somebody did it to us, for different reasons. but if they can be more successful in our city, i will welcome them in. i will also welcome entities and businesses that manufacture things that are made in san francisco. i want that so much. i have a theory -- and you can test me on this. wherever you go in the world, san francisco has a great name. you go to china, europe -- i am from san francisco. i love that place. you are from san francisco? what is happening? they will engage you. anything that is made in

[applause] this is probably a little different than you would expect. sunset shapers is not manufacturing the biggest technology machine. they make surf boards and shape them. now in addition to the success of selling those, they also sell a lot of fashion accessories and jewelry because it is a lifestyle. as soon as i learned how to use my ipad, then i will learn how to use a surf board. i have got my priorities straight. [laughter] they have evidenced this innovative, creative spirit. whatever you do, there is a market if you do it well. if you make fine handcrafted quality in san francisco, they will sell well. jim has been success

city to succeed. if it is successful, you will feel that much more committed to being part of the city. we invite you to be part of that. we do that through s.f. city. my chief innovation officer is here. we are one of the only cities in the country -- i hired a chief innovation officer right from the mayor's officer -- from the mayor's office. he is right on the pulse about technology and how to contribute to the quality of life and our city. one of the ideas i have, i get to start a task force with all of the mayors across the country. all of the other mayors for dissipate, -- participate, hundreds. we get to advise the president and congress as to what our cities need. part of that, i ask them, how about i start a technology and innovation task force for all of the mayor's tax introduced companies like dropbox to other mayors across the country so they can take advantage of technology. they may not have the kind of creative environment that we have in san francisco. i know new york, boston, gainesville, florida is trying to get it. chicago, emanuel is trying to create a technology ce
