(tiffany) the baby is in critical but stable condition this morning. 18-year-old daniel mitchell is behind bars after police say he left his new born baby in a strip mall parking lot on monday. he then drove off and left his car in fairfield about a mile and a half away from the strip mall. witnesses say his tires were blown out and there was damage to the car. police say he left his wallet and i-d inside the car, which helped to later identify him. those who know mitchell say he has been on a downward spiral ever since his mother committed suicide. ( tiffany ) the newborn's mother is not a suspect at this time and is cooperating with the investigation. mitchell was out on bail in connection with a felony burglary arrest last month. he is in court later this afternoon for his arraignment. bac
