this is the summertime pattern that we all know and love. that thick bank of low clouds streaming over the golden gate bridge. it is under the influence of a very impressive westerly wind at 10-20 m.p.h.. notice the difference between san francisco and oakland and the rest of the bay area where we will continue to see the hottest temperatures for the next 24-48 hours. with a lack of a good breeze, a lot of the ozone gets trapped at the surface. the north bay will have moderate air quality, the only good air will be at the coast where we have the westerly onshore flow. you'll notice tonight the saturation of the cloud deck roughly about 500-1,000 ft. deep, not that deep but the damage is done. pulls us off with the natural air-conditioning but we will keep it cranked in the interior sections as the hottest day of the workweek is still to come. the record heat in the midwest has been retrograding and working in through our back door, heating us up and trying us out. relative humidity in livermore at 12%. tonight, a little bit of recovery into
