here at freedom plaza and sun city center like the rest of hillsborough county today, thing haves been relatively quiet. it feels a little warmer in the afternoon because the dew point temperatures are elevated at the surface, but as i mentioned very dry conditions. in the southern part of sarasota county, 78 degrees. a pleasant cooler temperatures as venice is a little closer to the gulf of mexico. and gulf temperatures are dropping just a little bit more this time of the year. here in brandon, not a cloud in the sky. 83 degrees here with the northeast wind at 7 miles an hour. 43% relatively ty humidity. but, all of that sunshine is helping to lift the temperatures but with the drier air high above, some of that mixes down to the surface. we are seeing lower dew points as a result of that. that's the view at hula bay. temperature. 82 at innisbrook. getting into the range of temperature this time of year that give us a very, very nice weather condition. this weekend, when the cold front comes through, you will see the changes when that cold front moves through the area. here is a look

sun city center, 80. wimauma, 81. you can see frostproof, 81. 82 venice, sarasota winds continue consistently out of the east and this forecast, it is amazing to watch how little things have changed. high pressure to the north of us. gradient is a little stronger meaning stronger winds across the southern part of the state. that combined with a surface trough is leading to wetter conditions across the southern portion of the state. but wind gusts over 23 miles an hour around the winterhaven area. some of this upper level moisture streaming south to north. the hurricane center mentioned an area in the gulf of honduras they have it at 0%. look at the rain here. the keys especially. the surface trough, key largo all the way across sections of southwest florida. very consistent rain today. we just pretty much have clouds locally. rap model shows the clouds will be to the south. but it is still kind of in the sky here as we go through the the late evening hour. we will see quite a few clouds. rain chance is less than 10%.

sun city center where the rain is coming down hard, they've got about 8/100 of an inch already. that's cooled things down to 77 degrees. had some drier air across northern sports yesterday that suppressed our rain chances. that front lifted back to the north. the moisture returned and we've got a good coverage of some evening. this is the latest check of mat's radar heading up. they're getting it now inverness back through portions of citrus county east of crystal river, down into hernando county, too, some stronger storms there, eastern pasco county seeing some heavier rain. parts of hillsborough county, especially southern hillsborough county east of 75 some heavier rain there, and it extends down into eastern and southern manatee county just south of my hack coo city and sa rainfall and north port there, sarasota county is seeing some of that rain. just like yesterday, we've got that northeasterly flow pushing these storms back towards the coast. i think it will wrap up quicker than what we saw last night. by around 11:00 tonight, the bulk of the rain is offshore or coming it
