. >> welcome everyone to the sunny richmond. we may not have the sunshine but a sunny deposition well chief suhr and director hicks and most of all the community we're here to talk to the community i'm simon silverman the captain of the richmond station i've been there 6 months and as i talk about the thanks the station that has been going on it's important to acknowledge my predecessor new deputy chief sharon most of the work is things that started on her watch and also to acknowledge the hard working men and women at richmond station that's really those people that do the work and provided the excellent service here in the community. so you can see that the richmond has a large proportion of the northeast part of the city it's primarily resident but shopping district in laurel village along sacramento street coordinate and geary billboard and clement street also a larger recreational area the golden gate park and the golden gate recreation area. so quick facts about the district at the 5.7 square miles it's one of the largest d

we have clear skies at ocean beach in golden gate park in the richmond district. sunny skies at the golden gate bridge and we have a red flag warning that will be dropped in the next hour. of towards bernie as well, and we talked about it last night. there were some lightning strikes out there but so far haven't heard anything about arch fires. here's that fog kind of baked out of there. here's fog here, and it and it pulls out of here. just near pacifica, and half moon bay. to make you can count on the fog pulling back in and it will be dense in spots. we had some drizzle this morning to the tune in some areas of 21 hundredths of an inch of rain. you can tell drizzle from rain because they major it in microns, so it's .1 grits of an inch. particle size and raindrop size, that's visible. especially right along the coast, san jose at 73 degrees. blue sky, that's a live picture in san francisco. 80degrees for the overnight low in parts of san francisco tonight, and we will go 65 degrees for it a daytime high tomorrow. the real deal tomorrow, it will warm up of little bit.

we are taking a look at the sunday street block party at the richmond district in san francisco mainly sunny skies, 65 degrees. your forecast for the richmond district coming up on sunday. got to talk about tonight though because tonight and early tomorrow, we have a pretty high fog factor. that fog is going to push well inland so notice the gray over top of almost the entire bay area. it will clear back to the coast if the afternoon but on a one to five scale, tomorrow's fog factor will be a 4 thanks to a stronger onshore flow. now let's talk about why the onshore flow is stronger. low pressure off to our west, big ridge of high pressure over the desert southwest, right in between we find a pretty strong push from the chilly pacific ocean. so that ocean influence continues and once again tomorrow we'll wake up with a lot of cloud cover and temperatures kept down. but by the weekend, once this ridge moves closer to us, it's going to limit the onshore flow. if you have plans to maybe play some golf, go out with the kids, play soccer, anything outdoors, maybe an evening barbecue, thumbs up. we

richmond goes from 11:00 this morning until 4:00 this afternoon. it's a great idea. there should be some nice weather for people later today, right? >> yes. we will look for partly sunny, mostly cloudy skies there. rest of the bay into a little bit of a warming trend, especially inland. as the high pressure ridge strengthens. this morning we have two and a half mile visibility at the coast. and about six miles of up in the north bay with about 7 degrees of cooling overnight. so starting out great with mist and drizzle, except for the east bay valleys. here's a look at that from atop vollmer peak looking at mt. diablo where you see about 1500 feet of the mash reason layer. it is pretty cool this morning to mild, depending on where you are. san francisco 355, as well as half moon bay. and a look at sleepy san jose where it is still cloudy with temperatures in the 50s up in santa rosa. 57 with sunny conditions in concord. livermore still underneath the clouds. we are looking at our exploratorium camera, you see how low that marine layer is dipping this morning. it will take some time to scour out the deck of le clouds here in the city. and with the mist and drizzle you m
