sunol also has chances of fog developing. this is a pocket of clearing but we see around the golf course the sun coming up here as it starts to burn off in other spots. so shifting conditions around the bay. of course folks using the fast lanes, fast track lanes and all lanes using their gas out there, as well. so a different perspective on the roads this morning. we have our own bob riddel out there. what is going on with the gas prices? >> yeah, quickly, northbound on 101, heading through santa clara, the commute looks good so far. we are talking about gas prices. usually this time around, we get a break at the pump in our ride to work. typically costs a bit less. but not this winter. we're actually coming off the most expensive january ever for gas prices. and here we are a week into february, and we're not seeing much relief. here are the latest numbers, courtesy of aaa. the overnight numbers. san jose, oakland, you can see they're averaging around $3.76 a gallon for gas. this is important, because this represents a jump

just showed up on our sensors, and i'll track it, but no incidents reported and no problems through sunolfremont through 680 or 880 coming down to the south bay. a nice drive northbound to 101. 87 shows a little slowing. we had some yellow stretches between capitol and kurtner, and it's sorted itself out. we'll track that and a little slowing showing up on 280. again the chp not showing incidents but i'll continue to track the drive up the peninsula. marsh road the on-ramp still closed for construction for a few more minutes as far as the schedule goes, but 101 a smooth drive as you are passing by the dumbarton bridge, highway 84. the san mateo bridge, highway 92 to the north moves nicely. westbound that's your alternate to the closure of the bay bridge that's what this sign is talking about starting at 8:00 p.m. this friday they are going ahead with that. another alternate is the richmond/san rafael bridge. a smooth drive across 580 will take you to san rafael. southbound 101 continuing to the golden gate bridge, that route, though, is a two-toll reroute. back to you guys. >> thank you v
