we're here in sunol at the bottom of the sunol gray. but as you can see behind me, the fog is certainly heavy. take a look at this video we sent in about an hour ago. this was us driving northbound 680 over to sunol grade. it's not the worst we've eseen n terms of fog. you can still see the car in front of you, but visibility is a little bit limited. so you want to watch your speeds. i'm tracking the latest from the national weather service. meteorologists there have indicated that if visibility gets any worse, they might issue a dense fog advisory. their last notes which came out about seven minutes ago still say they're looking into it, and it hasn't been issued yet and it might not be issued. chp has issued their own fog advisories for 680. this is for dublin to scott creek, 580 to scott creek, along the area we're at. also for highway 80 between american canyon and the car quee kooe carquinez bridge. it's fairly fog on the other bridges, golden gate, san mateo. don't use your high beams, especially in places where the fog is really

moving toward sunol and parts of the tri-valley, a soggy commute for the east bay. we're seeing snow on mt. hamilton and this is what we expect throughout the day, rain coming in, in waves, and still some thunderstorms possible especially for areas south of san francisco, but we could see at any point today some times of rain, some gusty winds, maybe some small hail. it's going to be unsettled throughout the day. all of this winds down by later on this evening. at 5:30 during the evening commute we have some rain coming through. we'll take a break for thanksgiving day on friday and our next storm is set to arrive on sunday and this could tap into an atmospheric river which could enhance the amount of rainfall we see and bring in heavier rain than we're seeing right now. this is what some of the early runs of the computer models show, from an inch and a half in santa rosa to over four inches of rain in the santa cruz mountains, and that's between sunday and monday, possibly even extending into tuesday. for the sierra, more heavy snow headed that way, only some lighte

the first crash i'm talking about is 680 northbound in sunol, four vehicles reportedly involved but justst in the slow lane, watch that lane, stay over to your left. no slowing shows up and no injuries reported. the other issue is not a crash but a little fire that was reported highway 24 at the central lafayette exit and that area reports of someone seeing sparks and some smoke and another person said that perhaps they saw a car leaving the scene, where they saw some sparks as well. so we're tracking that in the newsroom and i'll also of course let you know if that's going to be a fire. we'll watch many resources we have to track any of those reports but nothing so far. over here we have a disabled vehicle, highway 4 at willow pass road, should be out of lanes in the next couple seconds. this crash off the freeway on surface streets. east shore freeway moves smoothly to the bay bridge toll plaza, light traffic, early build for the cash lanes, not a big deal. back to you. >> thanks, mike. 4:51. >>> oakland police investigating a scary incident in upper rock ridge, where a man says he was
