. >>> and taking a live look outside this saturday evening, the sunset a few minutes ago living an array of colors across the bay area skies. but we have changes on the way, and they're coming in on the satellite. another low pressure center is winding up in the gulf promising to spread rain over the bay area sunday. today nice and sunny, but a completely different picture tomorrow. in fact a good amount of rain as well with more than an inch expected around san francisco, not quite so much up north. in fact the bulls eye on this is in the central bay area. about an inch and a half in the city by monday morning. clouds increase overnight. sunday begins dry, but that will change. the rain will develop first in the north bay sunday morning then spread south the rest of the day and sunshine returns on monday. so what's happening on the first day of 2020? that's coming up in the forecast. >>> 6 people including 3 children are displaced tonight after fire ripped through the their home. it started just before 2:00 this afternoon on the second floor of a duplex on north white road. firefighters

and then cooling off quickly around sunset heading down to the50s. now as we track this next storm system coming in, we're already starting to see the rain now as it approaches the coast and we're going to see some off and on showers. this is not a strong storm but we have another one right behind that will come in on saturday and we're going to also have some additional rainfall totals. as we take it hour-by-hour, we're seeing more clouds that will move in later today. by 9:00 only looking at hit-or-miss showers that will continue through the overnight hours into the day tomorrow. it it looks like we take a break by tomorrow afternoon. and then more rain moving in early on thursday. but that, once again, will be mostly focused on the north bay and very spotty. so rainfall totals at this point look to about be a quarter inch of rain or less. some of the higher amounts across the north bay we may not see much at all for the peninsula and the south bay and parts of the east bay. an toward the sierra, wire seeing a nice coating of snow and unfortunately
