. >>> sky 9 was over the area where virginia state police arrested the driver of a supershuttle van they say is responsible for several hit-and- run crashes on 66 this morning. lindsey mastis joins us live from arlington where witnesses say the speeding van crashed almost anything in the way. lindsey? >> reporter: we're told the driver was going up to 95 miles per hour and hit at least six vehicles. two people, a 33-year-old mother and her 1-year-old daughter were taken to the hospital. >> he was clipping a bunch of people on the way. >> reporter: the mayhem on the highway began at 9:45. a man from alexandria was behind the wheel of a super shuttle van going westbound on i-66, crashing into car after car after car. virginia state police say the man sideswiped a dodge charger, hit a taxi cab and rear-ended a chrysler pacifica, sending it into a ditch and it's two passengers to the hospital. a little ways up the road in arlington a police officer said this blue honda was struck. >> the guy was going nuts and trying to go up and make a third lane and go up the center of the two lanes here.
