and as susan hendricks tells us, all that time in front of a screen could play a role in your health. >> reporter: video games are no longer just for kids. and scientists say some adult players may be playing a dangerous game with their health. in a study in the october issue of the american journal of preventative medicine, scientists analyzed survey data from 500 area adults, age 19 to 90. researchers looked at whether subjects played video games, and how often they played video games, used the internet, and watched tv or dvds. 45% of those studied said they played video games. doctors found how the games affected an adult's health depended on a player's gender. female players had higher depression rates and poorer quality of life than women who didn't play the games. male players had higher body mass indexes and used the internet for social reasons more than male nonplayers. researchers say the game-play cog lead to sedentary lifestyles which could lead to obesity or mental health issues. they also noted those who played video games used the internet more for social interaction, an

i'm natasha curry in for susan hendricks. our top story, the search is scheduled to resume this morning for the victims of a mid air collision here in new york. a small plane collided with a helicopter yesterday and both fell right into the hudson river. new york mayor michael bloomberg says it is believed that all nine people from both aircraft were killed. a source close to the investigation tells us that four bodies have been recovered so far. this is how one witness described the crash. >> there was a plane, small plane like a cessna, cutting back toward the jersey side and helicopter heading southbound about 1,100 feet. the plane rolled into the helicopter. hit the side of it. the helicopter went straight down in the water. there was a poof of smoke and a bang. the plane went further down and hit the water by the w hotel and came down in a couple pieces. >>> a law enforcement source tells us the chopper wreckage was found in 30 feet of water while the plane is believed to be even deeper. sonar also discovered a possible

i'm susan hendricks. typhoon morakot dumped more than 100 inches of rain on parts of taiwan and as shawn vause tells us, rescue officials are still trying to reach parts of the island cut off by raging floodwaters. >> reporter: even before typhoon morakot hit, getting to taiwan's remote mountain villages was tough but now it's nearly impossible. major roads are blocked by mudslides and debris. some have partly washed away. and then there's this bridge. it's simply gone, brought down during the storm, completely cutting off the village. the river below is still swollen and rapid. a few wo tried to cross there were swept away, plucked to safety by rescue crews. so, the only way in and out is by this harness. so far, more than 100 people. so, they say it's pretty safe. but, it's still a long way down. probably about a 200-foot drop straight down onto the rocks down there. this water is moving pretty quickly. all that really holding me right now is this one hook there, which is connected to these three cletes
