susan mcmanis, a long time analyst for abc action news and the now tampa bay. thank you for being here. we're already seeing huge voter turnout here in florida. could break the 2008 record where we saw 42% of floridians turn out to vote. why are we seeing such a big voter turnout. >> have you ever seen a year like this? people have been upset about the direction that the country is in. polls have shown two-thirds of the country don't like the direction of the country. that's true for both sides of the aisle. you have exciting new faces in politics. people to not want politics as usual. when you have so many candidates it's like going into ten flavors on one side and two on the other. >> great analogy that made my mouth water. why are so many candidates in tampa today. >> tampa is still the must-have part of florida. 25% of all florida voters live in the tampa market. it's the most competitive. it also has a lot of swing voters. people here are very interested in politics. it also is quite diverse in terms of the racial and age makeup which makes it the microcas

susan mcmanis. dr. mcmanis. welcome to the show. >> cnn just reporting tonight that senator marco rubio will continue on with his campaign tomorrow in utah even if he loses the state of florida tonight. how does he do that trailing so badly? >> well, it's obvious that he has a different idea of what the republican party should be compared to trump. we will see how many people in florida and elsewhere agree with him. it's likely that even kasich might make a continuation of his campaign in pennsylvania if he doesn't win ohio. it just is really a point at which there's such turmoil and division within the republicans about how the party should look and what trump will do for other candidates and these specific states. >> donald trump in some polls is winning all five states tonight. if he goes to the rnc and they do not nominate him, how does he do that if he doesn't win florida and ohio today. >> he still needs to get the number of delegates needed. if they denied him the nomination, obviously his supporters woul
