i don't think susanna martinez supports that. it will not be independent because state police are under the control of the governor. she wants to control an ethics commission. i don't. >> we have continued to see that corruption is taking placebrian colon just received a $4 million contract after being elected as the for lieutenant governor. he received this contract from the richardson-dennis administration. the corruption is a major and impacts everything we do in this state from mary, to the money not available for education, to making new mexico on attractive for businesses to come and stay. i cannot imagine making a serious complaint that there was such a conflict of interest and some politician on a political committee or commission will look at the way they should. the best place for corruption to be taken on as by the attorney- general office if we have a strong attorney general. >> it is clear to me that my opponent does not think much of what happened in the richardson administration. we fought hard to lower your taxes

the one thing they're on the record, both cants the lieutenant governor and susanna martinez is thatthey will not raise taxes. that's a big issue here. you know, in the past we've talked about things like sin taxes, we had a cigarette tax increase last session. however the lieutenant governor, the democrat, has said she's not going to consider raising taxes for the foreseeable future. and the republican candidate just saying no new taxing at all. so the big difficulty is going to be in a democrat-controlled legislature coming up in january for our session how is this going to play? are we going to all be seeing some form of tax increase to chop away at this and maybe perhaps get to some place where we can get b on better footing for jobs or taxes cleanly off the table. the specifics are yet to come. we have another televised debate tonight. ma inwe'll hear something tonight. it's the last one scheduled for these two but nothing specific for either one of them. >> brown: how about in rochester, julie philipp? do you get specifics or just the general... >> depends on how specific you w
