right now we have clear skies from our sutro tower camera. it's looking like early this morning.but the temperatures are the bigger issue as we step outside. look at some of these numbers. danville. good morning. you're down to 30 degrees right now. we're at 38 in san jose. 34 in santa rosa. the freezing mark in napa, a little bit warmer, relatively speaking, in the city. we're coming in at 46 degrees, but frost advisories are posted for a big portion of the bay area. much of the north bay, the inland east bay, the south bay for those temperatures well into the low 30s where we will have some frost forming. you may see it on your windshield this morning. might not be a bad idea at a couple of minutes to your morning to warm up that car, get that frost off the windshield so we'll have clear skies early on, but it turns partly sunny later on this afternoon ahead of our next storm system we're tracking tomorrow. we'll talk about our nextrillionain chance coming up in a few minutes. let's check in with gloria and see if traffic is doing this morning. >> good morning. well right now w

we'll take us i this is sutro tower. >> we have great visibility this morning.ockets of fog in the north bay, but we are expecting not only a lot of sunshine today, but also records very likely. again yesterday we set a few records and today we likely will set a few more for with daytime highs. i mean, look at these numbers. some cities going about 15 degrees above average. i mean, i'm calling the shorts weather in late january because we're going to 76 in san jose, 72 in ukiah, santa rosa, 70, in napa, near 70, in oakland , 67 in the city. you get the picture. it's just going to be a warm january afternoon. now, if you have any evening plans later on today, i mean, it's going to be a very nice evening by 4 p.m. we're still in the low 70s. in some spots we have partly cloudy skies, and you can see through about 9 p.m. most cities are going to stay in the 60s even at 9 p.m. those temperatures would be above our average daytime high. so we keep on that mild weather throughout the rest of the day. the storm impact scale is back here wednesday and thursday. right no

here is a live look from up above from our sutro tower camera, looking at the golden gate bridge. we will see along the coastal areas the return of king tides. that means late this morning the water will come up a lot higher on the beaches, and we'll reach the king tide and the highest tide at 9:42 this morning. it will be over 6.8 feet. and it gets slightly higher for tomorrow, as well as friday. and then we have, also, the extremely low tides from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., and during, of course, the high tides the bay shore, the coastal areas, low-lying areas will have some flooding issues. we're going to see some rain coming in. this is not a particularly strong system, but we are going to see some bigger waves along the coastline. and as it moves in, we're going to see some light to moderate rain spreading in, and it will last until late morning, early afternoon. at 8:30, 9:00, we're starting to see much more coverage of the rain in parts of the north bay, the peninsula, and just starting to move into parts of the east bay. eventually it makes it into the south bay around noon t

and from our sutro tower camera, we do a fog out there, a wind chill factor and look at all the 30s frome valley to 36 in petaluma, 37 santa rosa feels even colder than that with a little bit of a wind and if we look at napa 38 now, it's going to be freezing tomorrow morning with a frost advisory. so level one system on the way. the rain will be a quick mover. so it's not an all day rain event, but you could get caught in a downpour, gusty winds and the frost advisory for inland east bay south bay, north bay tomorrow likely extended into monday and then more rain on the way. weaker systems into tuesday, wednesday potentially a stronger system. the end of the week. so current wave heights are high and our high surf advisory has been extended until about 7:00 this evening. so breakers point arena, 15ft 14ft san francisco. so we've got the risk of rip currents and the large swell along with beach erosion happening at the coast. our frost advisory highlighted areas here through 10:00 tomorrow. so get set for that cold air to stick around 1030. it is raining in parts of the north bay. it's go
