sutter health medical center in santa rosa is expected to reopen after flooding outside the center led crews helped several of the patients get out of that building. they also helped the drivers of two cars that became trapped in the floodwaters. the flooding temporarily blocked access to sutter's parking lot and also to the hampton inn next door. >> fallen trees and potholes are just some of the problems in san francisco. after the storm, several trees came down in the city. the fire department says one person was hit by a branch in visitacion valley, but according to firefighters, that person declined to go to the hospital. the rain also led to flooding in some areas. more than a dozen people picked up sandbags at the city's department of public works, including one man who works at a church. >> we have seen some flooding inside already, so that's why we're trying to protect ourselves from more flooding in the building. >> but take a look at some of these potholes. gosh, watch out for those. the parks department closed stern grove and pine lake parks, as well as all six of the city's

well, sutter health medical center in santa rosa on airway drive was evacuated today due to flooding.wo vehicles trying to leave the facility got stuck in that flood water. firefighters arrived on scene to help the drivers get out safely. five patients at sutter were also evacuated. >> and the storm did cause issues in san francisco, from minor flooding to downed trees. and now a rock slide right near telegraph hill. ktvu roberto gonzalez joins us live tonight from the city. roberto, what's the scene looking like? >> well, mike, let's put it this way. bill martin was saying a little bit earlier that we got hit hard today. let me show you just how hard we got hit. this is a rock slide. we are under tower hill. we guesstimate that this rock slide occurred about 400 yards up. it slid down, and now it encompasses about ten yards of lane number one and number two, union street to sansome street. it is closed off because of this debris. now i can't get over there and really pick it up and show you because geologists have to come out here. they have to investigate the scene still. but i can

november when cars were submerged in the parking lot and patients had to be evacuated from the sutter health facility, as well as a hampton inn hotel. then last week, it happened again. flooding forced fire crews. they say they evacuated five people from that same facility. so the fire officials tell me that they're going to be watching that particular spot especially closely tomorrow to make sure they can get a handle on that. as i mentioned, sandbag stations are open throughout the county and parts of the north bay. for residents, those are free. fire officials say portions of santa rosa have actually had well over 30in in the last rainfall year. that is a lot with the soil saturation, and they say there's potential for that rapid rise of streams and creeks. so they are preparing throughout the north bay. >> a lot of the different fire agencies are working on up staffing, some swiftwater rescue resources to be available around the region, as well as also a strike team of wildland engines that have four wheel drive capabilities. we are staffing that type of equipment because it allows those
