june 7th, a woman's purse was stolen inside the stricker cafe located at 65 sutter st.. an unknown group stopped a possible suspect and beat him up. he claimed it was security, but when police talked to security, they said it was not them. i think there were several different groups that were dealing with this. we never determined whether he was the actual person who stole the purse or not. june 5th, at about 11:00 p.m., a $200 camera was stolen from the ambassador club on geary street. on june 6th at 10:30 p.m., a parolee at large was arrested on the sidewalk at 538 broadway. may 25th, at 10:30 a.m., a suspect was arrested at the club on broadway the ordinance there has helped we would like to work more closely with the doorman -- the doormen working in those areas. it could be the doormen that have advised a person ought to stand there, as well as an officer. we would like to the -- advice a person not to stand there, as well as an officer. we would like them to be on the same page. lastly, a man approached two different

st. luke's. of course, jobs are important, both in construction and in medical services and first source hiring should be included and enforced. but beyond a token level. and if sutter is going to be the largest employer in san francisco, we do not want an example of harming existing employees and not having rehiring rights at the new hospitals. but in terms of jobs, i do not think that is enough. neither the planing concepts or the zoning of cesar chavez or van ness as their propose now will facilitate future development of appropriate ancillary or surrounding employment generating areas. think of two examples. a negative one, pill hill in oakland or telegraph and broadway are dead in the vicinity of the major hospital in the complex but i positive one, mission bay, where hospital uses a conscious and complementary use to the other activities, community facilities, and housing in the area and vice versa. this rezoning should not have been done without looking at the context of the future desirable surrounding uses and traffic flow.
