suzanne collins has emotional reaction from the friends. >> reporter: the owner was shot nine times multiple times before dying. tonight his employees and friends are mourning that violent death. >> reporter: a young woman is very upset by the death of the bar's owner. he was shot nine times in all. he was found by police early this morning after closing up shop. two men were seen fleeing the scene. >> if you ever had troubles or needed anything, he'd always help you out no matter who you were. he always helped me out and my mom after my dad pass add way. he's just a really big father figure. >> reporter: tonight, the tavern is dark and friends say his widow is in mourning in the home next door. this man says lee was his best friend, and he tried to comfort the victim's two sons 15 and 16. >> to be there to talk to them was not an easy thing to do because they loved their dad. they looked up to their dad. and he was a good father to them. >> reporter: police say they don't know the motive for the murder of lee martin. the 40 year was still breathing when rescuers arrived but he died later. h
