i'm suzanne malveaux.ar-old boy accused of killing a 13-month-old baby made an appearance before a georgia judge a couple hours ago. he's the younger of two teens charged with first-degree murder in the baby's death that happened last thursday. cnn's nick valencia is outside the court in brunswick where the teen was arraigned. what is the very latest? what do we know? >> well, we're trying to figure out, suzanne, whether that 15-year-old boy will be charged as an adult. the judge in fact didn't say anything at all or address that. that 15-year-old juvenile entered the courtroom, looked back at the back row full of journalists, there were no family members or really anyone else in that courtroom. he was wearing an oversized jump suit -- orange jump suit. his hands and feet both shackled. he didn't say much. the judge asked him if he had any procedural questions, at which point he said no, sir. he didn't answer a guilty or not guilty plea either, suzanne. he's got a preliminary hearing in 30 days if he does

i'm suzanne malveaux.ead, cyber attacked on a florida election is raising alarms about security at the voting systems across the country. so this attack involved more than 2,500 phantom requests for absentee ballots during the august primary. our chris lawrence who has been digging into this. chris, what do we know, election officials now being able to detect that something happened, something was wrong. how did they do that? >> basically two things really jumped out at them, suzanne. they looked at two things. one, the fact that all of these requests were coming from what looked like the same computers. also, they were coming in so quickly they figured no human being could enter that much information that quickly. those were two big red flags. then they started to look further and determine that the internet -- the i.p. addresses of these computers were blocked. once investigators were able to dig in and look at them, it turned out that all of these i.p. addresses were going through what's called an anonm

i'm fredricka whitfield in for suzanne malveaux. what a week on wall street. four days, four straight record highs. also encouraging news on the job front. let's go to alison kosik now at the new york stock exchange. so is this really great news? good news. is this sign of a real recovery? >> it shows the jobs picture is getting brighter. the momentum is trying to build. you really want to see these numbers continue. we learned employers added 236 jobs in february. it was a blow-out number. it was a number that surprised wall street. and it is part of the reason you are seeing the dow continue its move higher. the dow up 35 points right now. the dow already hit a trifecta of records. it's probably going for a fourth. if improving jobs records has a lot to do with it. the the expectation was employers added only 170,000 positions. also the unemployment rate fell from 7.9% to 7.7%. overall, there's really not much stopping the bulls lately. one analyst puts it this way. as we get further and further from the economic crisis, people are getting more confident and

i'm suzanne malveaux. the supreme court wrapping up second day of hearings in an epic culture war over same sex marriage. today the focus was over a federal law that defines -- denies rather benefits to same sex couples. the law is known as the defense of marriage act or doma. it applies to federal taxes, social security, pensions, other benefits, you name it. this case involves edith windsor, who was forced to pay a larger portion in estate taxes after her partner died because the federal government did not recognize their marriage. >> turns out marriage is different. okay. and i've asked a number of long-range couples -- gay couples, who they got married. i've asked them, was it different the next morning? and the answer is always yes. it's a huge difference. okay. when our marriage appeared in the "new york times," we heard literally hundreds of people, i mean little playmates and schoolmates and colleagues and friends and relatives all congratulating us and sending love because we were married. so it's
