this happened around 11:30 last night and police say the victim was riding a suzuki motorcycle southwhitaker when a 2000gmc yukon traveling north made a left turn into the path of the motorcycle. they he collided and the motorcyclist was thrown about 30 feet. when first responders arrived the motorcyclist was unconscious. he was taken to einstein medical center where he was pronounced dead shortly after midnight. a witness told police a yukon fled the scene west on loudoun and responding officers quickly found it. >> they saw a trail of what appeared to be antifreeze and motor oil. the officer followed this trail about five blocks. and he found a gmc with heavy front end damage parked unattended in a rear driveway. >> reporter: that gmc was located at that drive way on the 5000 block of rohrer street. it had front end damage both air bags deployment it did not have a license plate attached and police say it's a possibility that it was removed to make it harder to track down the driver. debris from the scene matched the yukon including a gmc emblem which was found at the scene. the ve
