i'm savannah sweeney from raymond, new hampshire southeastern new hampshire. my biggest -- if i could say one thing about my experience being in a coalition and the work i've done is that youth vice is vital in order to work on prevention. youths are going to listen to other youths more than to adults because they can connect to their peers so by empowering and educating these youth that are involved with the coalition also getting more people involved with the coalition through community events and such, those things are so important because then we're able to give to our peers who may not have been involved with the the coalition and we can break social norms and tell them that drinking and marijuana use is not just a rite of passage we have to go through. there are so many other options and coming from new hampshire we have an opioid crisis so although we are working directly with that, we are very certain that if we keep working with alcohol and marijuana prevention with teens, that is really where we're going to find a start to fight the opioid crisis. al
