and energy secretary, sxsw is a conference held in austin, texas.ennifer granhome, our energy secretary, talking about climate change and china. she, as you know, china loves to contribute to polluting our air more than any country in the world but not according to her. >> china has done, has been very sensitive, has invested a lot in their solutions to achieve their goals. we are hopeful that we could all learn from what china is doing with the amount of money they are investing in clean energy, it that is encouraging. will: it's not without notes. it was originally, sxsw was originally a music festival that has metastasized into were sort of big tech festival which turned into this gathering of america's elite to discuss things like how to model our future on china. what does she want us to take from china? if you look at what makes china unique when it comes to specifically the issue of climate change, it would only be the level of control they exert over their people and their economy and the amount of money they pour into unproven technologies?

i was at sxsw in austin this weekend and that was all anyone was talking about.as one guy there who follows ai and said he would buy dinner from anyone who wasn't freaked out about the way ai is developing, because it is growing by leaps and bounds in the applications are limitless, but the danger is because there are no guard rails as of yet, except for those imposed by people coming up with this. it could be used for disinformation as well as information. if you did not like the box you see on social media now, wait until they can talk in complete sentences and make compelling arguments. laura: you are an educator and teach college students, have you come across this chat box? >> i have. it's a sad statement that i have to put in my syllabus, a paragraph that says we are looking out for plagiarism. we are looking for the use of artificial intelligence for your submitted work. i didn't do that last semester and i have been teaching since 2009. this is a very recent phenomenon that educators will have to deal -- will have to deal with. i think this is a scary phe

this is the big tech program at sxsw, they spoke yesterday about these topics, the funding and runninga startup at a time of economic uncertainty. it was really the tensions here palpable for people working in tech and of course, not just in the u.s., silicon valley bank, other locations outside the u.s. where they had deposits and funding, all of these things, major risks to tech which is already under pressure and now, there is a question, there is never just one cockroach that we have seen several banks here fall. silver gate, signature, all tied to tech and silver gate and signature tied to crypto. that is already under lots of pressure. the question is how many other banks are there that could still have problems despite the fed's moves today? they would have taken such extreme measures to prevent other backgrounds and failures as banks mike be forced to market treasuries. that is the question. what else is there? of course, equity and insecure debtholders will not be made whole. >> also, how did we get here? u.s. authorities are coming out right now and trying to emphasize this i
