>> a difficult question for you, sybrina, but i want to put it to you anyway. there are obviously going to be huge candlelight vigils all around the country tomorrow, new york, d.c., orlando, and other places. are you ready to let justice take its course, however that turns out? in other words, if at the end of this trial george zimmerman is exonerated of illegally killing your son, would you be prepared to publicly accept that verdict? >> well, that's something that we have always asked for. we have always asked for an arrest. we always asked for just it to come to a trial. we just want to have that trial and let the jury decide, and whatever decision comes out of that, we're going to accept that. we may not like it, but we're going to accept it. >> sybrina, again, and to you, tracy, i pass on my very deepest condolences. it's a year after, it seems an extraordinary year in many ways, for what happened in the aftermath of trayvon's death and for gun violence indeed in america. i hope tomorrow is not too unbearable for you, and to you, ben, thank you for joinin

joining me now are trayvon martin's parents sybrina fulton and their attorney.eing here tonight. >> each of you tell us what it's been like for you this year. i know this is a difficult night, but how has this year been for you? >> this year has been very difficult. we've met a lot of nice people, but i don't think it measures up to the loss that we have endured. like i said before, we've lost loved ones in our family, but it's just a certain level of pain when you lose a child. and when you lose a child to sudden death because of senseless gun violence. >> yeah, it's definitely been a somber year. it's been a sad year. it's been a year that i won't soon forget. and in the wake of the tragic loss of our son, we're just trying to stay -- we're just trying to uphold our son's legacy by turning a negative into a positive. and i think that's what keeps us going. the more we keep his name going, the more we keep his legacy going, the stronger we become as parents of a lost child. >> now, tell us about the foundation. because one of the things that has most impressed

court ruled that they would not delay the trial and that it will go on on june 10th and that's all sybrinand tracy martin have asked for, is to have their day in court. another issue that came up was about witness eight who was the young lady who was on the telephone at the moments before trayvon was killed and that seems to be a lot of issues surrounding her deposition and what she heard and so that's going to be an issue that is going to take a similar stage in this trial but it won't be more important than george zimmerman's statements, his inconsistent statements. that is going to be the key to this trial, what he said, why he got out of that car, what was said on that 911 tape. we have to on february 26th, that's the only thing relevant here. all of this other stuff is just smoke in mirrors and we've got to keep people focused on february 26th, trayvon martin was walking home from a 7-eleven, had every right to do so, as his mother said, without being pursued or chased. >> sybrina, the story of your family and what happened to your son brought gun violence to a new national gun conver

sybrina is pushing for limits for the pursuit or followed. task force has reaffirmed the stand your ground law last week. does that signal to you where the zimmerman defense will go, how it will hold up in court? >> well, you know, the stand your ground law, nobody talked about it until trayvon was killed and we have to think about how trayvon has changed the situation. everybody in america knows about this controversial law and an act that stand your ground law, we look at that as a plus. if this case does not go to a d jury where tracy and sabrina can have their right to trial by jury, their day in court, people will be terribly disappointed all across the country because that's all they want is their day in court, and we believe the evidence, once it's presented to the jury, their killer of their son will be convicted. >> as sabrina mentioned, the original motive for a lot of this attention and seeking justice was just to gain an arrest so that more information could be discovered and the case properly vetted. as we go through this, i just
