i want to thank john for his relationship on this bill and fo is true of other issues we worked on and i'm grateful we have a bipartisan group as i mentioned. four other senators in t addition to the work john and i have done. i encourage folks who if you haven't done it hbefore to take a look at this bill, senate bill 1854. it's not quite 25 pages so it's digestible. but take a look at it and if you have suggestions or recommendations we want to hear those. we hope that we can pass legislation in the next really the next couple of s months i hope and even in the month of january. were always an optimist around here but we're grateful because this is one of the many steps i think we have to o take to deal with threats to our supply chains, threats to the good old american innovation that we can bring to bear on any problem, any challenge but we don't want to have our national security undermined and compromised . we don't towant to use my imprecise language over a barrel when it comes to something as basic as the personal protective equipment. we should neverever allow that to happen again . and i know there are a number of steps to get there well beyond just the p
