that happened earlier this afternoon in the 6900 block of new hampshire avenue in tacoma park. we're told that there was someone there who attempted to car jack a person, who had a porsche there at the gas station. and a witness told us that he saw the whole thing. let's listen to what that witness had to say. what happened? >> i saw pretty much everything. >> reporter: it was a stabbing? >> it was an attempted carjacking. the guy was actually stand at the pump. >> reporter: awe you saw it? >> the whole thing. >> reporter: was it the person in the porsche who got car jacked? >> yes. >> reporter: and was he stabbed? >> yes. >> reporter: so that was a witness to the actual attempted carjacking that happened at the sunoco gas station in the 6900 block of new hampshire avenue. from what we've been able to piece together from witnesses, and from other sources, it was from that carjacking scene that police apparently chased after that suspect in a vehicle, ended up here at this scene in prince george's county about two miles away from the sunoco gas station. as you can see behind me,
