this is the view from our sierra-at-tahoe camera where we are expecting widespread snow for the first time in two week and rain for the bay area. paul, i know you talk about weather every night, but we finally have some green on the radar. >> folks have been talking about the lack of rainfall the past couple weeks. well, there's a change coming tonight. most of the rainfall is still to our north, already a few drops and a few light showers in humboldt county, mendocino county, ukiah, clearlake seeing a few showers dancing around your towns. the line of precipitation will move into sonoma county as early as 10:00 tonight, work its way south of the go by 2 to 4 a.m. and clear the bay by sunrise top. the more significant impact will be in the sierra where light to moderate snow for several hours is likely. total snowfall accumulation just in time for the holiday and the folks traveling there, 4 to 8 inches of new snowfall by noon tomorrow with travel delays possible. rain on the way tonight. we'll talk about any further chances of rain coming up later in the show. >> see you then. thanks
