a new ballot measure could potentially ban vacation homes within south lake tahoe.y locals have complained for years.... about noisy rental homes that cause parking and trash problems. the group behind the ballot measure -- the tahoe neighborhoods group -- says air-b-n-b and new larger homes have made the situation worse. but those who oppose the ban are worried about what it could do the economy. ( darya ) the group says, it has enough signatures to get the measure on the ballot in november. city council members voted to have a study done... to see what kind of impact the ban would have if it is passed. keep tahoe blue! we are seeing gray skies for san francisco around the bay, oakland, as well.is low. check out our "salesforce tower" camera. yeah, those clouds are over the top of the tower. here's a view towards the north. that will be haze in the middle of the screen. this is the view looking south. the bay bridge is somewhere under there. but, of course, cloud coverage thicker at 1,070 feet. a lot of the area is in the clear especially across the south bay for san jose, mountain view, looking good as far as visibility is concerned. west wind pushing in the marine layer. those winds have been calmer. earlier this week we had barely a breeze through downtown san francisco right now. 13. oakland is where it's picking up. san ramon, as well. and then east of livermore those gusty conditions are in full effect this morning through fairfield as well and then you can see where those areas are shaded in the yellows and reds. through the cliff house camera showing ocean beach, look at the drizzle on the lenses there. that's what you may run into if you are driving near the coast. m
