we have thunderstorms in bishop and lake tahoe, as well. most of the activity now around topaz lake up above bear valley here and some stuff out by reno. not as much as a few days ago in the lake tahoe area but still continuing a diurnal -- nights and afternoon thunderstorms. there's the fog along the coast and there's a lot of it now, more than we have seen in the last couple nights. it's a little deeper -- already, across market street, it's in san francisco, it's in the richmond district. you're wearing jackets and gloves and whatever out in the edgemar district of pacifica and daly city. it will be a couple of days with constant fog as it has been this week, which has saved us from those heat advisories. there's the heat advisory up there. you can see the sea breeze, where, just pushes in. the green colors represent temperatures in the 60s and even 50s in some cases like half moon bay. then you see the heat getting shunted out to the east. there's problems on the western grid because you have tucson, phoenix, l.a., everybody sweltering,

look at yesterday around tahoe, heavy rain and hail.igher elevations certainly got hit with strong unstable air, thunderstorm activity. that's actually contributing to preventing the fog from forming too much this morning. for now the doppler is showing all clear, no precipitation out there just yet. around downtown san francisco, those clouds could be hanging around a bit. by lunchtime we'll be clear everywhere, even along the coastline. the fog will be back again tonight and tomorrow morning, but 're thcoast, of course. the waves are starting to get stronger out there. beach hazard statement begins at 11:00 a.m., breakers up to 7 to 9-footers and sneaker waves are possible. keep that in mind if you're walking along the beach. those waves can come out of nowhere. they will be large through wednesday, so keep that in mind. the high that's right over the desert southwest is going to continue to build. today upper 80s and low 90s, still warm inland. around the water that's where it will stay in the 60s and 70s. look up north, getting much
