a popular tahoe ski resort has some disappointing news for skiers. slopes will not be opening next week as planned in a facebook post that recently renamed palisades tahoe said unseasonably warm temperatures are to blame as well as no substantial snowstorms this month. slopes were scheduled to open next wednesday, but the resort is now targeting early next month. maybe tough tonight, considering where we are in the bay area, and the system is making its way here, but you might be able to see. the partial eclipse of the moon happening overnight. the eclipse will cover about 97% of the moon at the peak and the eclipse will last nearly six hours. astronomers say it's the longest partial lunar eclipse and more than 500 years. so far no evidence from this video of an eclipse here on the west coast. the eclipse will peak at about one o'clock this morning. alrighty yes, it's going to be tough to see tonight, but it's you know, we're not that far from one o'clock now. so if you do have a chance you could peek out. you might see get a break in the clouds. i'v

i want to give you a shot of the day for greater tahoe. look at that stunning sunrise. have just a little snow blanketing, and hopefully we will get more winter storms head into december. south lake tahoe, the forecast for this weekend we will stay in the 50s, and no storms for now. i want to give you a closer look at the long-range outlook because we are looking at our next chance of possibly seeing rain move in. we have clouds ahead, and then monday we will remain in the 60s. our next best rain chance moves in on thursday heading into friday. you can see the storm system here. we will have a better idea of the timing once we get closer. here's a closer look at your 7-day for inland areas, as we head into tuesday, we will see the cooling. we will get showers to the north, and as we head in towards wednesday and thursday, we will see the wind start to pick up and this storm is mainly going to be north bridge. if you live in the north bay, you will see this rain first and it could become more widespread heading into thursday evening and friday as well. san francisco's 7-
