this is where the severe thorl warnings are toward talbot county. to the north of cambridge, along our shorelines here, as far as southern maryland goes, a tornado watch in if he can for 7:00 but that will be allowed to expire and be canceled like for the rest us. the green areas, flood warnings toward winchester. toward loudoun county. numerous roads are closed. make sure you take your time and give yourself a lot of extra time. and a flash flood warning. heaviest rain to the east. we're not quite done yet. we have more rain that will come through during the overnight hours. most on the moderate side. some areas will see some heavy rain. right now the heaviest through southern charles. you are just now starting to see that rain make its way through saint mary's county, too. some line, some thunder, some very heavy rain. the worst of this storm is now over. however, veronica johnson shows us how the storms may be over but the rain, we're still dealing with it. >> we're still dealing with it. take a look at the rainfall totals that we received. this

we have severe thunderstorm warnings for caroline county, queen anne's county and talbot county. you can get flash flooding for quite awhile. here's that tornado watch. so far we have not seen a tremendous amount of storms and the flash flood watch continues. there's the big picture. but the main threat continuing. western shore, eastern shore of aing to content with the winds and ceft hall flood-- and coastal flooding. >> at the height of the storm, we were watching impressive winds. over montgomery county, over howard county. lay tonsville, unofficial reading. middle river which is under a coastal flood warning 40-mile-an-hour winds. these are sustained winds, still out of the southerly direction, so that will be a problem. winds still gusting. the eastern shore seeing the brunt of it. southern baltimore county, down around anne arundel county and some of the high tides will have to watch through the evening. fort mchenry. if you live in an area prone to coastal flooding you need to move to higher ground. middle river, essex and most of the back bays will be experiencing higher

we have weather going down in caroline county and in eastern dorchester county and eastern talbot county. so we are seeing intense weather in parts of the state. this is the narrow band that has produced damaging winds. we have had a tornado watch but haven't seen much in the way of tornadic activity. a tornado watch is in effect just for the eastern most part of the state for another hour or so through 7:00. the radar picture, you seat storm line pushing out, but there's rain on the back side. we're not completely clear, but we see the worst of the weather pushing east and over the eastern shore toward delaware. for more on the situation, let's head over to meteorologist mike masco. >> that will be the problem for the rest of the evening. that's the spot we'll have to cope an eye on as annapolis' high tide comes in a little after 8:00. the winds have been a big issue all day, southerly winds between 15 and 20 miles an hour. sustained winds at 23. all that wind pushing the close is a peek waters along the immediate shore between harford county down in anne arundel county and here are the

dennis: joining us from the democratic convention is scott talbot leave personal financial services roundle. you are there to start lobbying for corporate tax reform. do the republicans and democrats have the same thing in mind when they say that phrase? >> they are a little bit apart. everyone is shaping up what corporate tax reform will look like. we need to do corporate tax reform to bring down the deficit. both parties are talking. simpson bowles is the most the agreed upon concept. all the mummy in the coming months and quarters will come to an agreement what we need to do. >> mitt romney wants to cut the tax rate to 25%. democrats talking actual corporate tax rate cut or just want to find a way to make corporations pay more? >> at this point they are seeking producing the corporate tax rate as well as eliminating reductions. what you have to be talking about is not the stated corporate tax rate that the effective corporate tax rate. that is the key. dennis: tell me what you think the two or three key things need to be done that both parties agree on to help corporate tax reform. >>
