that's something weird going on when it is snowing in tallahassee. for us on the other hand a warm system tomorrow. some of the highs in the upper 60s in the bay despite the rain spinning offshore here is the latest. on the kpix high def doppler plenty of downpours in this radar echo information and now unwinding and so the downpours brief but heavy at times and as we focus on the northern end of the peninsula the showers in the east bay and this will continue to happen in the next hour or two hours. this will move to the north and to the east and the north will get wet. not much during the day and we will get now as we look towards the bay bridge, the temperatures are in the 50s for the most part. 53 in concord. in santa rosa 52 degrees. this is the rain maker. waves of moisture came through. fast moving and brief and heavy downpours that didn't total more than .2 of an inch and not windy. there's no place in the bay area right now for any of the official reporting stations with a wind in excess of five miles per hour but this is a producing fog so

i mean, places under winter storm warning include tallahassee, savannah, charleston. they could all see a couple of inches of snow. as this moves up, the storm, however, moves far enough off the coast. then itys now, notice the snow tried to get into the d.c. metro area. if you live in southern maryland you have a much better chance of seeing flakes here. not expecting much accumulation. where we are going to see accumulation is out there towards the ocean city area towards rohoboth towards our beeches. you might not see a flake on thursday. it gets sunny during the day. this storm system is one to watch, however. we are going to be seeing some changes in this. the storm track for snow chances, if it shifrts to the east they get much lower. if it shifts to the west they get higher. one of our latest computer models did shift it back to the west including d.c. metro area with snow there. that is something i'm going to be watching the next day or so. right now i'm not expecting much in the way of snow. it's just the cold and the kind of cold we're going to get, boston h

we're talking tallahassee, florida. people playing the first snowfall there in nearly 30 years. a lot of serious conditions there on the east coast. >> it's going get colder by friday too. >> the rain is here. roadways are slick tonight. we are following a brand new problem. that's isolated thunderstorms developing back behind some of the rain we had today. really the first wave of wet weather move through from 1 to about 4:00. that's pushing the central valley. here you can see some of the isolated thunderstorms right now in the pacific. that's my main concern now. a few lightning strikes in the bay area. it's always a big headline. just remember if you hear that thunder, you are close enough to be struck by the lightning and you'll want to head indoors. we could see some of this hold up for us. we put a track on this. you can see it will likely move into santa cruz and hold up till about 6:08 tonight. we have a really cool zoomable rad radar. that shows lightning strikes. in terms of tonight, hold onto this chance. by tomorrow it's more of a spotty rainfall situation with prim
