so despite my initial reluctance i had a great time studying talmud. one of the rabbis that taught us was from my hometown. akron ohio. >>> one of the things i noticed about myself on the trip and aftermath a did i have aren't appreciation for the use -- a different appreciation for the use of language even though i have come back and talked about our itinerary to say we went to judiah and samaria rather than say we went into the settlements, palestinian territory, the use of language was something that i just gave a tremendous appreciation for and pushed me into a different kind of boundary, what kind of language do i use and how does that reflect where i am on a particular issue or even where is my own grey area and not knowing where i stand. i found that piece of it very interesting because i think one of the political overlays that we have put as american jews on israel is the notice of who is on the left and who is on the right. that category, those categories, they start to break down for me because what you can call someone left or right in isra

he had his talmudic all over his leg and blood coming off of his knees. -- he had his towel all over his like. we know that they killed him. those people are laying in the aisle and they are all dead. he called us back there and said, i tell you, you ain't got the one. you did not give it to me. we looked at each other like, what is he talking about. he keeps calling us back in there with the same rap about how we did not do it. [imitating james brown] play what you are feeling, love with you are feeling, but give me that one. every time i give you that thing, one. you bring it down on one. [normal voice] if you listen to the record, we are giving it to him on the one. that is the one he taught me. ever since he gave me that, it looked my bass playing up. i was forced into plain base because i wanted to play with my brother catfish and i wanted to play with him. in order to pay with him, i had to switch my guitar into a base. tavis: what was that line about deal and -- about heel and toe? >> if you orh not alleel and toe, you have to go. tavis: you started on guitar. you had to work

the talmud teaches us that so long as the person still has live, they should never abandon faith. that lesson seems especially fitting today. so long as there are those who are standing up for the legit -- legitimate rights and freedoms which have been denied by their government, we will never abandon our support for those rights that are universal. as long as there are those who long for a better future, we will never abandon our pursuit of a just and lasting peace that in this conflict, with two states living side by side in peace and security. this is not idealism. it is not naivety. it is recognition that a genuine peace between israel and palestine. that is my goal, and i look forward to continuing to work with aipac to achieve that goal. god bless israel, and god bless the united states of america. thank you. to rid the country of al qaeda debt and in order to beat the caliban -- al qaeda and to beat the talmudic a n and not allow them to return, those are the objectives that president obama restated in september 2009. they are the objectives that they should have. none of that is affected by the death of a bin laden. there are more countries that are affected by the death of a single leader. interesting things will follow for the movement. to the notion that this is some of the ins is with non sequiturs. -- of this is full of non sequiturs. if we pull back from pakistan and say why do we care, we care because of pakistan. it is good we having this discussion. for too long we have had a discussion as it can help us in afghanistan. it is not the way we should be approaching the policy. it is probably the largest and densest population. it is a very dangerous and poor country. it has been under military control. these are the facts that matter. american policy has to address the fundamental flaws and threats to itself and the region and pakistan that it poses. there are three fundamental things
