let's take a look at the live picture from our mount tam cam. parts of the atmosphere, we are seeing smoke players. down below, we have the marine layer. mi francisco, 79 in san jose, down to about 60 in pacifica. from our kgo roof camera, the breeze is blowing, and that is why you are seeing blue skies. it is getting better where the wind is coming off the ocean. 80 in santa rosa, napa, 73. our warmest spots are still in the 90's, but it is cooler than where we were yesterday. we do have fog along the coastline, lingering from san francisco's south. if you take a look at the temperature change, eight degrees cooler in santa rosa. i am going to step aside so you can get a view of this. you will notice layer's of smoke along with hayes over the shark tank. the haze and smoke lingers into sunday. you're looking at breezier and cooler conditions tomorrow. the air quality in the bay area is mostly good to moderate, greens and yellows. it is awful near the wildfires and in the sierra. anywhere from unhealthy to hazardous air. i want to show you a liv

let's take a live look outside right from our mount tam cam overlooking a san francisco bay. >> chief meteorologist lawrence karnow is here. this has to, you know, get everybody worried, especially if you're in that zone. we've been kind of waiting for this to start to kick in. so this is that time of year see a low kind of kick through make its way east, then all of a sudden high pressure builds in behind that and that's when we start talking about these normally these offshore winds. and so you get very low humidity. go along with that. this doesn't look like an extreme event, but it doesn't have to be everything is so dry out there. so you can see all the areas shaded in brown here there and the fire weather. watch the biggest concern in the north. and yet we're looking at some of those gusts. maybe as high as 50 miles per hour. or more across some of the higher peaks. now of course, we've already seen the fires burning across california. see all the smoke from these fires to our making its way toward a northeasterly direction. almost due east today because some strong westerly win

it was a smoky sunset from our mount tam cam.see the reddish hues, a lot more smoke particles in the upper parts of the atmosphere creating that sunset. it looks beautiful, but obviously does come with a price tag, which is that smoke from those wildfires up north. area of low pressure across the oregon/california border responsible for the wind flow that brought the smoke down into our region and as you look at the smoke forecast in the upper parts of the atmosphere we will see near the surface some smoke starting to draft into our area once again tomorrow. so don't be surprised if some of that smoke aloft starts to mix down near the surface. as we head towards tomorrow night, it looks like we will see less smoke late tomorrow night by 11 p.m. tonight we have some low clouds right around the bay and along the coastline, temperatures at this hour 50s to the 70s. it was a little lopred morning with areas of low cloud. smoke impacts from the wildfires continue tomorrow. hour-by-hour forecast, tomorrow morning some patches of mist,

as we take a live look at the city courtesy of the mount tam cam again, lots of fog rolling into the area. the city buried under these all of it all kron 4, kron 4 meteorologist dave spahr here tonight with a look at your sunday evening forecast. >> hey, good evening, everybody. here's the situation that we have with this front, our backyard to kind of a vacuum cleaner. that's the one factor we're getting from all of this. there is the rain that's leads with that way up in the rockies that you have a red flag warning ahead of all of that because of the winds that will drive. it will get some surface winds with that as which we did this afternoon and for tonight. but working on cleanup that smoke will be left with the marine layer coming back again for tonight. not as aggressive as yesterday morning. that will see tomorrow morning. mixing out the sierra quite quiet. but when a note that because upstream, it looks like there's something to look out for. fog that more coastal concentrated than we saw this morning. mild, but breezy still left over early in the week. it's mild for monday.

now to our 4 zone forecast as we give you a live look outside from our mount tam cam. the bay area air quality management district is issuing an air quality advisory for wildfire smoke for tomorrow and this is for residents at higher elevations in the north and east bay. for more on what we should all expect. let's check in with lawrence olick cpd. oh, yeah. i think this will be kind of similar, maybe not as extensive as what we had passed friday and over the weekend. but we're going to see some of that smoke working its way. >> back into the bay area. you can see the air quality in and around these fires just horrible right now. the very worst conditions you can imagine they're all that smoke hovering around those directions and the bay area well, again, that westerly component to the wind. and so, yeah, we're all in green right now. that means very good air quality all around the bay area from santa rosa san jose, the san francisco to conquer all looking in the green right now. but things are going to change. we're going to see those skies that have been that nice bl

we're looking at the view from on top of mount tam. >> and crawford's chief meteorologists.rnow joining us now with a look at what we can expect things start to warm up towards the weekend. yeah, i got a little heat wave going to settle in for the weekend. in fact, you're probably felt those temperatures jumped good 10 degrees. plus. >> in some of the valleys and now we'll really see the heat wave kind of kicking in as those temperatures are going to be flirting with triple digits. at the same time, air quality is going to suffer a bit. we're going to see more of a northerly component in the wind and you see the haze outside right now looking from a hours looking up toward marin headlands and further north all that haze from the fires. of course we're going to see more of a northerly component win the next couple of days. and that is going to bring some more. that haze right back to the bay area. but the good news is it's not going to be down right. the surface most that is going to be a loft above the surface, but the skies are not to look pretty as we head in toward tomorr
