mount tam and current numbers look like this 54 downtown. it's 58. in oakland. 59 san jose. good morning. 61. the fog still filling in across the bay, and we've had some dense fog up towards napa. nice view here from our sutro tower camera. you can see some patches around here. so the marine layer has been shallow. the gradients are the wind not quite that strong. so that's another reason why we haven't had that robust cooling inland. but we have potential as we get into that tuesday time frame. 48 in napa. so it is certainly cooler there. 54 santa rosa petaluma is in the 50s and you can see concord and livermore as well. so cooling off comfortably throughout the overnight hours and looking at that sun setting 727 2 to 7 degrees cooler, that 47 bringing down that number in napa for sure. and right along the coast. so we are looking at that fog up towards the north and pockets of some dense fog, even with some mist and drizzle there. so be advised, if you're headed out this morning, you can see how light the wind is from our roof camera. so fog. patchy drizzle th

tam, how are both sides preparing?ing that has stood out to me hearing from both campaigns is they are both talking up donald trump's ability to debate. both the harris and trump campaign say he is hard to debate, that he has a lot of experience debating. they have different reasons for doing this, but essentially the harris campaign is sort of talking down -- they are not talking down her ability, but tempering expectations, because she is this person who is a former prosecutor, had standout debate moments. she in various senate hearings prosecuted the case, asking tough questions. her campaign is trying to say, eh, temper those expectations. trump is this unique person who is difficult to debate, who is unencumbered by facts, as she says, so watch out. it's a little bit of working the refs from both campaigns. yeah, so working the refs. the other thing i will say is we know harris is new in the spotlight. she has not been running for president long. a lot of people didn't get to know her when she was vice president,

okay, we have madison tam here. thank you. chair. chair melgar and members of the committee. i'll try to make this quick. good afternoon. the legislation before you creates a special use district to enhance and improve the signage of the five, five, five ninth street shopping center, which is in the showplace square neighborhood. this center is zoned umu, and subject to that district sign limitations, which are not particularly conducive to large shopping centers, particularly those that are right next to the freeway. this center has suffered from high vacancy rates and turnover of tenants, and these changes will help support efforts to revitalize and lease up this center. it's very exciting that the container store has recently moved in, and we look forward to seeing more tenants move into the site. their tenancy was made possible by the downtown revitalization legislation that this committee passed last summer. so thank you to president peskin for including language in that ordinance to principally permit formula retail at this location. i have one amendment to share that's

taking a look at our mount tam camera. it's real nice one today, but we're about to crank up the heat. and of course, that means fire danger persists. let's check in now with chief meteorologist lawrence karnow. oh, yeah, we're going to see some offshore winds. we had some gusty winds over the high terrain and even a fire started. we've got the bear fire now just north of tahoe in that area. we're seeing some of those winds, not all that bad right now. in fact, they've taken the red flag warnings down, but still things are dry. this the time of year where things a very dry in the high country and you can see the bear fire here. you've got campbell hot springs. you've got highway 89 near their fire here, loyal to just to the northeast winds so far, really not a problem tonight. there was some concern that we might see some 30 and some 40 mile an hour gusts that is not transpire. that's good news for them. could still be a little breeze. and those winds are gonna start turn offshore. so maybe blowing back toward campbell hot

i didn't get so lucky because here's a look at what we had from our mount tam cam. the clouds were rolling in and no matter which tower camera we looked at, the moon appeared a little fuzzy. so if you were lucky enough to catch it right when the clouds parted enough, you caught it. but this is just a sign of what's to come. this is how your morning is going to begin, and we may even throw in a few showers. here is the system that is going to be bringing the possibility of a few showers. certainly some rain falling around the pacific northwest, northern california. we do have some returns off the northern california coast, and we are expecting the potential for some drizzle or spotty showers right now on live doppler seven. the clouds are stacked up. it is foggy on the golden gate bridge. 58 in the city 60s oakland, hayward, san jose, redwood city, 60 and half moon bay 57 degrees. a cool view from mount tam right now. mid 50s santa rosa, napa 61. in concord, 59, in livermore. today's high temperatures once again 4 to 11 degrees below average only in the 60s and 70s.

what a great view from mount tam. the marine layer 3,000 feet deep. stratus cover about 80% of the bay area this morning. it's starting to dissipate. so you may see some sunshine where you are, especially if you're far from the coast. temperatures right now, mainly in the 60's, a few areas in the low 70's. this is a big departure from temperatures yesterday. 8 degrees cooler in santa's a livermore down 15 compared to yesterday, fairfield down 16 santa rosa down 10. but guess what? yesterday, santa rosa's temperature at this hour was 60 degrees cooler than the day before. so the today after down. 26 degrees in the past couple of days in santa rosa alone. another big concern is the wind gusts specially for wednesday and for thursday, very gusty winds and where you see the areas of the magenta is and that's that is where you really see the gusty winds. that's this afternoon or early overnight. you see the winds dissipate little bit. not overnight tonight into tomorrow. look at that. sandra fell early in the morning. it's 32 mile per hour gusts and look a
