glenn, break that down for us. >> yeah, tammie. it's hard to believe one day to the next is going to be such a dramatic change. we look back to last saturday, remember how frigid it was. at noon, 14 degrees. it felt like 3 below zero. here's tomorrow. 29 at noon, feeling like 19. yeah, cold. but not as frigid as last saturday. in between, here we are with temperatures in the 60s and feels like temperatures in the 60s. what a roller coaster. that is extreme temperature changes. that's for sure. now, at the moment, we have 60s across much of the area, 61 in philadelphia. it's a little cooler in millville and at the shore because of the wind coming in off the 34 degree ocean. that's cold. and we're going to see the temperature crash pretty much after midnight. 60 at midnight. by 8:00 a.m. we'll be 32. it's almost a 30 degree drop. the feels like temperature will make it more like a 40 degree drop. it's feeling like it's in the teens all through the day. and when the eagles are playing, that's what it's going to feel like. feeling like

>> right, tammy.e are expecting, again, quite a difference between the amount of snow and the areas north and west and the areas at the shore. there's also going to be more wind at the shore. the snow will start earlier at the shore. it's going to end later at the jersey shore. the temperatures will be critical. areas north and west might end up with less snow, but you have your own problems because the temperature is so low that a lot of the chemicals won't work as well. so our computer model set up for the snow totals throughout the area ranging from about 4 inches far north and west to a little over 10 inches in cape may and also in southern delaware. the wind gusts will also be a major factor and especially southern delaware and also south jersey. you can see the difference in the wind gusts right at the shore, like avalon at 51 and egg harbor, not that far inland, at 34 m 34 miles an hour. there's a blizzard warning at the coast and not inland because the wind gusts won't be as strong. as we go a

we a tammie souza is looking at how much will it impact where you live. we begin with glenn schwartz. >> the timing is strange. we are waiting for the next round of snow to start in our town and they're going to get more snow than much of the rest of our area. all of our counties are going to get more snow in the delaware and south jersey county. this is midnight to 10:00 a.m. on wednesday, slushy conditions for the morning rush especially untreated surfaces. the snow time can start in any minute. it is going to take hours before it gets to the rest of chester, montgomery and bucks and it may take until midnight to start in the philadelphia. this is the slowest system that i have ever seen. i am takes 7:00 a.m. until tomorrow to start when it is ending. look at how close it is. it will be here in a couple of hours. it is not moving in this direction. there is the snow. right over redding right now and as we go through the next several hours, we find the snow advancing, the temperatures starting to trap and that's where it starts accumulating and tammie wi

. >> first we begin with nbc 10 chief meteorologist tammy souza. she is tracking the storm's timing and the snow totals neighborhood by neighborhood. >> we've got you covered. we'll start with the first alert. the entire area will be looking at snow. everybody will get snow, some of us more than others. we do have a blizzard warning that has been issued for southern delaware and the jersey shore. that's where you'll see the highest winds and incidentally the highest snow totals so you're going to have a lot of blowing and drifting there. this is 9:00 tonight through 7:00 tomorrow night. probably philadelphia area sometime between 11:00 tonight and 1:00 in the morning. in delaware a little before 9:00 but it will pick up steam and should exit the area by 7:00 tomorrow night. then what we're watching for is high winds to come in behind it. so heavy snow followed by high winds. now, the hurricane-force winds are offshore. they're not over our neighborhood. this storm is intensifying so the center will feel like a hurricane with hurricane-force winds.
