i'm tamron hall. we begin with breaking news.n that derailed in oxnard california 80 miles northwest of l.a. at least 30 people were injured after the metro link train collided with a truck on the tracks and burst into flames. nbc's tom costello joins us with the latest. what do we know regarding the incident. >> reporter: this happened about two hours ago, 5:45 a.m. pacific time when the truck was apparently on the tracks as this l.a. bound commuter train, metro link train coming from ventura county to l.a. hit the truck on the tracks. we are told that seconds before this truck was hit, and it erupted into flames seconds before that happened the driver took off running. he escaped the fiery collision. we have no idea why he took off running. multiple sources, including knbc in los angeles are reporting it. 30 people taken to area
