marshals arrested him around 6:00 last night in an abandoned airfield in tannersvil tannersville. here is a photo of the airport in tannersville. this is where he was captured. it opened as a resort and the air park was added in the 1960s, but it closed in 1998. following frein's capture, we were on the scene in tannersville as police set up a roadblock there. that's less than a mile from the abandoned hangar. they found at knife and a hunting rifle. it's unclear just how long he was there. but police will be back out there again today looking for more clues. now that eric frein has been captured life can get back to normal for the people of monroe county. the search for eric frein has gripped the community there. they had several sightings in the area. state police spent the last seven weeks combing the dense woods, telling people they couldn't leave their homes. school was canceled for a bit. hunting season was delayed and halloween was canceled. >> i was very happy. nobody got hurt. you know? they caught the guy, you know. so they can go home and be peace and quiet. >> the poli
