good morning, tara. >> reporter: call it mother's intuition. a mother sleeping inside of this mobile home with her children woke up for apparently no reason. the smoke detectors either she did not hear them or they didn't function, so she ended up waking up and you can see just how intense this fire got. if you look to the side of this mobile home right here you can see where the flames got to it right there on the home next door. now it happened here in the harbor village home mobile home park off bay shore road in redwood city around 2:00 this morning. here's what happened. the mom wakes up. she's not sure if she smells smoke or having a bad dream, but she starts looking around and sees flames near her washer and drier in the front of the house. when she tries to run back to the bedroom to get the kids the fire is simply too intense. so she yelled and that wakes up her 17-year-old who was able to help the other children escape through windows and a door. >> the 17-year-old really helped get his siblings and friend out. pretty dramatic stuff.

tara moriarty is outside the courthouse in san francisco. so tara, what can we expect today? >> reporter: well, barry bonds should be arriving here shortly. if you take a look behind me, you can see the normal group of photographers that sort of hover in front of the courthouse waiting for bonds to arrive to get that shot. now, this morning, the prosecution's last witness will finish up, the doctor, doctor catlin -- dr. catlin will finish up. bonds told the grand jury back in 2003 what he -- that he never knowingly used steroids and then the defense will begin its case and right now, legal analysts are saying that the defense has the upper hand here. that's because one of the prosecution's witnesses. dr.ting, went south on them. ting was bonds' orthopedic surgeon and hurt the prosecution because he repeatedly contradicted. star witness. now, hoskins told the jury that the doctor said that bonds's 1999 elbow injury was caused by steroid use but ting actually denied that. so a lot of twist and turns in this case. we will, of course, give you an update and keep you posted on wha

also a guy name keesh ran a company called laser image and he taught me how to use a computer and tara after watching me for several days one day, i was writing the fund raising letters and i learned on the computer but she said let me show you something. it's called cut and paste. so, with her now we could write hundreds of fund raising letters and in pakistan i learned to use a local laptop. slate board there. the whole village participated in the building school and it was a joy ous time. this is 18 miles - on that bridge - i didn't mention it but there's 5, 800 pound cables they carried up to the village. 8 men would put this with a spool and carry this up to the village. this is where they're carrying the struts and beams for the roof. what's amazing here, this man is the head man for the village. i don't know if there's clergy here, but in their culture they're not supposed to do labor. they're suppose to give spiritual advice. he carried the first load symbolizing his advocacy for education. in the back there's the silver beard. see after three years we hadn't gotten very far. t
