ktvu tara moriarty is out there at city hall this morning.several buildings and businesses that were vandalized last night. >> reporter: a lot of damage but no arrests. this protest didn't last very long so police weren't able to call in for mutual aid and make any arrests. you can see the damage on city hall the front doors the holes in the glass there still not boarded up. around 7:15 last night demonstrators started throwing paint balls and smashing windows not only at city hall but the oakland tribune office, the berkeley national lab office, and three banks. the group of about 200 people gathered earlier in the evening and timed the rally to coincide with the 11th anniversary of the war in afghanistan. the group went on a march. two luxury cars were vandalized and their owners tell us protestors are taking their anger out on the wrong people. >> i could understand at some point, but this is wrong. >> it's wrong what they are doing. >> reporter: again no arrests were made. but police could have some leads. we'll keep you posted on that. a
