officials say the officer pulled the trigger after tasering the man with little to no effect. fox 5's will thomas working this one in landover. >> reporter: this started just after 7:00 this evening. a prince george's county police officer male was working by himself, came down this road right off the 8100 block of sheriff road. there's some big trees lined up here, some investigators leaving the scene and crime scene technicians, but it's lined by these big trees. there's some apartments way back there. we've got some video that shows you closer from the scene there, but basically the officer shows up, sees three individuals huddled together looking suspicious. i'm told there's a history of people going back there to do drugs in the trees. so he approaches the three. they take off. he gets out of his squad car taking off after them, catches up with one of them, tackles them. then a little fight ensues and right now corporal larry johnson from prince george's county police picks up the story from there. let's roll it. >> the officer then deployed his taser which took no effect
