joining me now james hoffa, the president of the teamsters union. mr. hoffa, good to have you with us tonight. >> how are you doing, ed, good to be here. >> i'm doing great, sir. the 50,000 jobs that the president is talking about that are going to be created because of our trade dealings with india, do you buy that and where are those jobs? >> it is a drop in the bucket. let's look at the entire picture that you have been talking about. we are losing millions of jobs. it is not 50,000 jobs. we have lost millions of jobs to mexico, india, china and it continues today. last month, whirlpool closed down a plant, 1300 americans laid off in indiana and they moved it to mexico. it is going on as we speak right now. it hasn't stopped. and what we talk about outsourcing that is an easy word, sounds -- outsourcing, sounds like it doesn't hurt anybody. we are closing down plants of workers in america. your fellow americans are losing their jobs, they work there 30 years. they are close the plant down. most of the time, taking all the equipment and moving it to m

the group, along with the teamsters conducted -- teensters conducted 60 toys. only one of them included a label. now, a plastic that some believe could be toxic to children and cause a host of health issues. >> they never gave us a timetable. they gave us a press release saying this will be safer and they didn't do anything. >> and now, they say that toys "r" us did do a good job of keeping that off the shelves. we talked to them this afternoon. they said they only pledged to get them out of the infant products. they have removed items like vinyl bids and certain teethers from the story. they maintained that all their toys, they meet federal safety standards. and the stories that you see here, they did not meet those federal safety standards. that's why they were recalled this year. and the good news is, the number of the recalls are down significantly from 2008. the toy-related deaths are down too. but the injuries are slightly up. and so today, the chairman talked to me about some ways that parents could reduce the toy-related injuries. >>> and the parents, t

the teamsters union say that their scans of a random sample of toys at toys "r" us detected the helicoptert they could contain pvc. they could not confirm the chemical or what level. toys "r" us said all the products in its stores meet safety standards. the agency will look into the report said a spokesperson. >> what do say they say to you about the biggest dangers of toys? >> the biggest dangers continue to be the small parts which, are choking hazards and you can't just, you know, they do have a standard and we heard about that toilet paper, too. >> right. >> and use your best judgement on those. things can break off and when you have older kids. the other thing they're really, really concerned about are magnets. >> oh, yes. >> and a lot of times the magnets are not sold as children's toys and they're adult toys, they're things for to you play with and the kings -- kids get them. they're attractive. kids like to play with them and end up swallowing them. what happens is it can basically make -- close their intestine or other parts like that and can cause death. the other thing, too, we
